After completing elementary and high school in Varaždin, Ivana graduated from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija, specializing in cultural tourism.

From 2006 to 2008 she was head of marketing at the St Martin Therme. From 2008 to 2014 she was director of the tourist board of Čakovec.

Ivana worked on the management and implementation of three European projects under the IPA. Since 2014 she has been working in the Croatian Tourist Board of Zagreb as head of destination management and subsequently as Director of Destination Management and supports the development of supply.
